• Born in Turin, Italy in 1976, I graduated in 1999 in Photography and Design at the European Institute of Design in Turin, with the final thesis on “Masquerade: portrait and duality”.That very year I assisted such photo masters as Antonin Kratokvil and Larry Fink at ToscanaPhotographicWorkshop. That very year was spent in NYC to masticate dust in various photo studios. In 2000 I collaborated as an inter in a local newspaper, an experience which undermined my enthusiasm and belief in mass communication and journalism.Meanwhile the passion for photography grows bigger. My first assignment comes from an Italian N.g.o. and takes place in former Yugoslavia, reporting the development of micro -economy among refugee families in Serbia. This photo essay is followed by another assignment in Nicaragua for the environmental “Fundacion del Rio” and various works as a freelance photographer in the field of photojournalism and portrait. In 2004 I become a co-founder of DON QUIXOTE, collective of freelance photographers based in Turin and Barcelona.I recently took part in Athens at group exhibition “System Terror” with a story on the Italian “Le Nuove” Penitentiary.Up till now my work has been published on the Italian edition magazines such as Vogue, Rolling Stone and PRIVATE.
